Here are some reasons for my chosen political party:

I am a Democrat because . . .
although I am a woman of faith,    I abhor using it to influence political decisions.

I fully expect my tax dollars to be used to help others lead more stable lives.

I cannot abide the hypocrisy of denying half of our citizens reproductive rights while pretending to champion smaller government.

I believe in the purpose of government to help its citizens. We should not wish to shrink it to the size where it can be drowned in a bathtub.

because I believe the rule of law evenly applied to all citizens is the foundation of a democracy.

because I don’t believe “America First” has ever been or will ever be the way to live in community with the world..

because I do not believe America is uniquely God’s chosen nation. Correction, when needed, is a survival technique, not a betrayal.
