On December 4, 2024, The Heart of Iowa Dems and the Women’s Caucus partnered to provide an educational/informational meeting with Iowa Senate Democratic Leader, Janice Weiner, and Iowa House Democratic Leader, Jennifer Konfrst. Sarah Smith (Poweshiek) moderated the conversation. Leaders Weiner & Konfrst presented information about the key issues they expect during the upcoming Legislative Session beginning January 13th. They also encouraged Iowans with Democratic values to seek office at the county entry levels as we strive to build the bench for an eventual majority in the Iowa Senate & House.
