I met Sarah Corkery at the Iowa Democratic, Liberty and Justice celebration on Saturday November 4th. While she will not serve as my Congressional representative as she is from the 1st Congressional District, I want persons from the Women’s Caucus to meet and know her.

She lives in Cedar Falls and is running for the position currently held by Republican Ashley Hinson.

She describes herself as the mother of three children, one child with a physical disability. She and her husband own a small business. She prides herself on working at an 8-5 job for 25 years.

Sarah states, “As a candidate I am ready to leave political infighting behind and work toward what unites us. I pledge to explore our common ground. This is not Democratic verses Republican, rather this is standing up for values of Iowans”.

Her mission is to serve as a representative who will take everyday issues to Congress, and concludes, IOWA DESERVES BETTER.
